STAY AWAY they start off reasonable but hike your rates for no valid reasonsBe careful of Esurance. I was a faithful customer since 2006 and I had a NO FAULT accident where the other guy's insurance had to pay for injuries and car damage. This involved lawyers, documents, phone calls. Esurance never had to pay a dime but ironically within 6 months of my accident they doubled my premiums. They literally raised them 100%! When I called they had no strong reason why they were doing so they claimed I lost my "good driver discount". So their good driver discount is apparently 100%??? Wow? The only other thing on my record was a minor traffic ticket from a parking lot inside the Vets Administration. This was my first ticket in 22 years. They used this as the excuse but we all know it was the accident and the medical claims that scared them. Even though they were never responsible they used my injuries to screw me over. I already reported them to the Insurance Commissioner in CA. They think I have a valid point. I dropped them immediately and got quotes from the other big carriers who offered me $30 less than what I was paying for even before the doubled premium hike rate. Unbelievable! Oh and the agents at the other companies said my minor traffic ticket was not enough for anyone to raise rates on or see as an issue for price since it was the only one ever on my record!
