White-hot Cigna hatred

I have never, ever, seen a more rock bottom, cheap-jack, douche canoe insurance company in my life. They're the unholy spawn of Satan, Lord Voldemort, and Mr. Potter from "It's A Wonderful Life". It's unbelievable how many routine things they refuse to pay for, and how many creative ways they find to deny coverage. I might as well not even have insurance. I'm actually considering dropping off my work plan and just going out of pocket. There's simply no point in paying their monthly premiums.

The last straw was tonight. I went to the pharmacy to get a prescription for Lovenox refilled, and was told I could not get it refilled. Why? Because Cigna will only pay for a 14-day dose ONCE EVERY 23 DAYS.

After a lengthy kerfuffle, I had to leave the pharmacy without my Lovenox. It will be at least another 24 hours before I can get hold of the doctor's office and get them to call in the pre-authorization and have it go through the system so CVS can refill my prescription. That's all right, Cigna...I'll just sit here while my clotting disorder attacks the 6-week old baby I've waited for for 7 years. By all means, please continue to make your policies as arbitrary and annoying as possible. It's not like your decisions affect, you know, real live people or anything.

Even the pharmacist said "Wow, your insurance company is really a pain in the ass".

Worst. Insurance. Company. Ever.
