Inefficient and insolent

I am a retired employee. My company pays $1700 a month and we pay $178 a month for coverage. For a long time most health claims were rejected. Finally a supervisor told me that since I have Medicare (hospital only), all electronic claims would be shipped to Medicare and rejected. I then asked clinics to submit bills manually or by FAX and they are now rejected because we were "out of network" (there is no network) or Medicare should pay.

A clerk on Monday said her name was Miracle. Unusual, so I asked her to spell it: M i r a c l e. The next day on a call about a different claim, I asked the clerk her name, and he said it was Terry A. I had to explain again that I have Medicare hospital only. He acts like this is new information. When talking to him, I asked to speak to a supervisor and after a long wait, he said they were all on the phone. Their system has tanked in the past year.

If you are having problems, I suggest you report the problem to their Board. If they get enough complaints, maybe they will try to deal with it.
