Cigna refuses to pay legitimate claims and then just waits for you to give up tryingCigna is terrible. They instructed my surgeon on how to submit a claim for my procedure and specifcially told the surgeon that no pre-certification was necessary. Cigna then refused to pay the claim because pre-certification was not obtained -- this despite the fact that he hopsital did pre-certify my hospital stay. And each time I call Cigna, Cigna gives me different information about why the claim was denied, and thens says it will review what I have said and get back to me in 30 days. 30 days later, Cigna comes up with some brand new reason for not paying. It seems clear that Cigna's strategy is to come up with bogus reasons for denying claims and hope that I will just give up and pay the claim myself.
