The Blue Shield of California PPO plans allow you to see any physician you choose, and allows you to visit any in-network specialist you want without a referral. Blue Shield of California also offers a choice of plans that come with or without a deductible and lower out-of-pocket expenses when you choose to see an in-network provider instead of an out-of-network doctor or specialist. The Blue Shield of California PPO also has the option of opening a Health Savings Account (HSA) through the Blue Shield Spectrum PPO Savings Plan.
