Some of you need to get your facts straight. There are reveiws on here from
"customers" in New Hampshire and California. American Family doesn't operate in those states. American Family has no losses from Hurricane Katrina - they don't operate in any Gulf States - they just started selling in Georgia in January of 09.
American Family is a Mutual Company - we have not received any government bail outs.
Also, virtually every insurance company rates using the consumer insurance credit score. It is the truest and most accurate way to tell if you will have a claim. People with low credit scores have more claims. That's a indisputable fact. People with lower credit scores have far fewer claims and should receive a lower rate. It is a soft hit when an insurance company pulls your credit score and in NO WAY affects your credit score. Insurance company's aren't extending you any credit and you could get 100 insurance quotes in a day and it won't affect your credit score one bit.
I've been an American Family Agent for 3 years now and I can tell you that every claim adjuster I have dealt with has been fair. AMFAM is a good company.
