Disappointed But Trying to Think PositiveI was involved in a "rear-end" auto accident in July, 2007. My vehicle was hit and the lady in back of me was hit. This resulted in me being jolted at least 2 times. I lost my job 30 days afterward. I received disability from 8/30/07 to 1/31/08. I was unable to work after the disability payments ended. I could not apply for unemployment because I still could not work. In June of 2008, I told the treating neurologist I wanted to begin work. I applied for unemployment and began receiving same in July, 2008. I contacted Allstate regarding my lost wages. I was transferred to many adjusters, getting all kinds of excuses and request to write letters to them with copies of the letter from the State of NJ regarding the end of disabiliy and the stub from the last disability payment made to me. Allstate told me I sent everything to the wrong address (which they gave me); I resubmitted the same information. It is now 1/19/09 and I have not received lost wages (A great big $100 per week) for the period of 2/08 to 6/30/08. I have never received any "awards". Since being with Allstate, my driving record was fine and it still is, because someone hit me, I DID NOT HIT THEM. Every time I see an Allstate Commercial, I say to myself, maybe that's where my wages are being spent. I pay for medication out-of-pocket because there is no health insurance. I do not know what to do as far as the wages. Economy says I may lose my home, my vehicle, etc.,etc. - HELP!!!
