severely depressed and aetna making it worse

i work for Bank of America who has their employees insured by Aetna (huge corp insured by huge corp). My doc placed me on short term disability for clinical depression and submitted what Aetna required to process the claim. Aetna denied the claim and when i called to asked specifics on why it was like pulling teeth to find out. After 6 messages I have not received a call back from the claim reviewer, my doctor cannot get them to call him back. I was told by Aetna cust service that they do not intend to communicate with my doctor to get additional info or to inform him of what is needed!! Because of this run around and non-communication I am left with the additional stress of not being paid my short term disability (I live pay check to pay check) and am now without money to live on for the past month. As I am attempting to get back to work as soon as I get control of the depression, Aetna is making me more and more depressed and hopeless as I am now looking at financial disaster because of a serious illness. Bank of America is no help and both corporations are only interested in saving themselves money. Typical maneuver of insurance companies taking our money and then when we file a claim they find every way to deny! Makes me absolutely SICKER!
