Customer Review - Aetna

If this is the way Aetna acts when I am healthy. . . .

After my insurance company dumped all its single subscribers, I was forced to find another plan. After submitting an Aetna application, their supposed "medical department" of doctors and nurses--or so I was informed--called to interview me--four times! If they are medical personnel, I hope our paths never cross. Aside from an obvious lack of knowledge, they are rude and abrasive and cannot even manage their own records regarding my application. When I informed the last caller that I previously had been interviewed, he became annoyed and short with me, as if I had instigated the contact and wasted his time. Frankly, if this is how Aetna behaves when I am healthy and applying for insurance, I hate to think what they will do when I am sick. I'm withdrawing my application and going elsewhere, but Aetna further confirmed my opinion that the entire health insurance industry needs to be cleaned up.
