CRIMINAL!

HORRIBLE! Avoid at all costs! They did not tell me when a single week's premium payment (via my paycheck) did not reach them, even when I called and specifically asked if my premiums were paid and the account was okay! "Sure, your coverage is up to date!" LIARS! 3 months after the one-week loss I find out while at urgent care for stitches that they canceled my coverage for that week and now the urgent care will not treat me until I pay the resulting $400 bill! Then my toddler son went to the ER a year ago for an emergency and the insurance checked out fine in the ER. I got the statement from Aetna saying they covered/paid everything but a small portion of his EKG, which I sent a check out for the next day. Today, a YEAR later, I get a massive $3,500 bill from a collection agency for the ER visit!!! WTF?!! I called the agency and they said that Aetna never paid a damn thing! I already have an appeal out for the missed premium I was lied to about and now I have to deal with this, too! To boot I only got them to make an appeal after I threatened to get a lawyer on their asses. I have to call them, fax them and snail-mail them constantly to keep the coverage going, and they constantly want more. Oh, and despite being government mandated to cover my son's preventive vaccines they have refused to cover that too because 'the doctor had the wrong birthdate on file at the time' and again nobody notified me of this until I found out on my own - the hard way - after it was too late to correct it! As soon as this is fixed (if it's fixed, might need that lawyer after all) I am dropping this company immediately! I would rather pay $900 a month for dependable coverage than put up with this criminal company. Stay away!
