Beware of Aetna

I used to have BCBS of Illinois and was satisfied with the level of insurance coverage I was getting. BCBS paid our claims. Aetna is another story. First, good luck finding some good medical specialists that are not desperate enough to take Aetna. Also, some specialists, behavioral health specialists, will not accept Aetna because they reimburse so low. Say $16 on a $165 office visit. It's no wonder providers drop Aetna and stick with BCBS. Do you yourself a favor and stick with BCBS PPO or at least HMOI. In today's market it is not the doctors getting rich, but the insurance companies.
