Aetna health has no regard for quality of life

My employer switched to Aetna in January. It denied an on-going treatment for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome that is considered experimental but is the only treatment option for me. Every health insurance I have had since the diagnosis in 2000 had approved the treatment even with the clause 'experimental not covered' because after review of med records, it was obvious it worked for me and gave me quality of life. The most ironic fact is Aetna was the original insurance that approved the experimental treatment. My recent appeal was denied even with Aetna admitting the treatment has proven success for me. To Aetna, life after 40 is not worth treating. Just another insurance company making huge profits. Everyone is the same--we are not individuals to them.
