Aenta care nothing about it's members from my experience. They sent me an explanation of benefits telling me that I was responsible for my out patient hospital visit that was in network due to they hadn't received medical records so said that I would be responsible for the entire bill without any discount. The provider was eventually paid $3000 out of $28000.00 billed with no pt responsibility. I didn't sleep for days. I filed complaint with the Insurance Commissioner but haven't back from them. Aetna did respond to tell me they received the complaint. They attempted to state how they want to serve their members which was a waste of paper and someones time. I have their number and wish my employer offered a different option. If you have a choice, your best choice is to NOT choose Aetna!!!
