Overwhelmed by bad customer reviews of AIG, can't even get quote

I am looking for a lower rate, which AIG says they can offer, but I have not been able to get a rate quote from them. The online quote tools refuse to match my current coverage (compr, w/Amica) and they redirect me to some silly guidebook page. Then, when I reserach their customer reviews, I am astounded by the repeated stories of poor service and evasive dealings. Based upon these findings, I would say that AIG seems too fishy and I personally would neither switch to AIG nor recommend them.
