Couldn't believe AIG

The worst of the worst..12 months after my father purchased a AIG policy (mortgage insurance) he passed away. Trusting in the agent to do his job, my parents, never looked at the policy initially. He was a smoker, not hiding the fact, the agent knew and was advised of that. Upon the death of my father we found out the policies for him and my mother were non smoking policies.. The agent wouldnt even respond to our calls. TALK ABOUT SHADY BUSINESS... I dont know what happened, honest mistake on the agents part I thought UNTIL he would never call back. Then I got to thinking he drove 60 miles needed to sell a policy and altered it to do so. He passed away in the contestible period...Insurance would not pay or even think of it.They scrutinized his medical records and blamed their reasons on that. BUT good news was my mom could keep her insurance with a reduced payout. What a slap in the face from a piece of work insurance company...DO NOT RECOMMEND AIG TO ANYONE. Big insurance wins again I hope they can sleep at night...
