Very Dissatisfied Customer

We have been with AAA since 1999 and have only filed one claim with the company since joining. That claim was for the loss of food when we were left without power for over 14 days in 2007. I received a check in the amount of $250.00.

On May 8, 2009, we were hit by a tornado. My home, outside shed, and both automobiles were damaged. I called to report the damage and it was over a week later before anyone came to our home to assess the damage. I have been trying to get my Honda Civic repaired from the damage (hail and a neighbor's trampoline) but after part of the work has been done at a Honda dealership, AAA says they won't pay. I might add that I have a $500.00 deductible. The damage to my car is approximately $1,100.00 and after my deductible is paid, AAA would owe approximately $600.00. I was call by the dealership today and told that my insurance is refusing to pay for the remaining repairs, because they do not believe that a trampoline flew through the air and wrapped around my car and damaged it. They said that it was damaged before the tornado. When I tried to send them photos of the trampoline wrapped around the back of my car they told me they did not need to see the photos as anyone could stage a photo. It is nice to know that after 10 years of premiums and one claim in the amount of $250.00, that AAA is there for its consumers. They have told me that I have no recourse and they have the last word on the issue.

It would have been nice to at least receive a courtesy call from them instead of having to hear they were refusing to pay for the damages through the dealership.

Thanks AAA, this could be the reason that we love insurance companies. I hope through this review that someone stops and thinks before joining and sending money to you because apparently when it comes time to use your insurance, it is not worth anything. I will be telling everyone I can possible reach about my problems with this company and encourage them to look at other companies for their insurance needs.
