AAA has to be about the worst most dishonest national insurance company out there.
I was involved with AAA policy holder in an auto accident in which he was totally
At fault and it stated that on the police report and on the ticket given to that policy holder.
I called in a claim the next day to AAA. two days later I called AAA to check on the status And they said the claimed was denied as the auto accident happened on OCT 7 and his policy premium was due on OCT 5th and they had not received it yet so they where canceling his insurance. What a shame AAA is – I called the Missouri state board of insurance and they stated is a well know fact that AAA has about the worst customer service around and that there Bill due date (in this case Oct 5th) is also the cancellation date if you haven’t paid by that date. Very shoddy practice if you ask me.
In 2007 I decided to give AAA insurance a try. The rate was just ok. The coverage was average. However, since I was NOT paying my annual insurance premium in full, AAA tried charging me a $23.99 a month service fee. That adds up to $287.88 per year. So the bottom line, there was no savings through AAA at all. Then when I told the AAA Rep that I was canceling my policy, she threatened me with a $400.00 charge. Of course I told her I will see you in court. I heard nothing further from AAA. They are deceiving in their practices. I went with GEICO. I got more coverage for each of my three vehicles for a great price. Three vehicles with full upgraded coverage for $222.00 a month. Beat that AAA. GEICO is great.
AAA's insured hit my car at fault. Incompetent adjusters will not reimburse my car rental fees. Adjuster is accusing me of renting the rental car longer for my own personal reason. The adjuster wants me to provide the shop information when it is on the estimate, how competent are they??? Email supervisor, but still no reply for more than two weeks.
been a customer for ever today I went to the Insurance office to pay my monthly bill and I was told I am not covered any more??????? (Bill is due until the 12th) and I should be covered until then....
I have to redo my policy... first of all I have always paid 1 to 2 weeks early. No accidents/ OR tickets/OR claims.. and basically my new policy is 5 payments for every 6 months and the payments will go up 40 to 60 more per month.
the last 4 months I received a notice saying my bill isn't paid and they are canceling me, I would call the insurance company and they said and I am covered..
Basically I think someone is pocketing the money and not paying the insurance company and now I am being punished for there actions
I was hit from behind by an impaired driver while walking in 08. MI has no fault insurance so the claim came from MY CAR insurance! AAA was very concerned at first but now are trying to deny paying for my injury needs. I had a ruptured disc in my back prior to the accident and now it's so much worse but they don't think they should pay. My copay is only 12.00/month and they are fighting it! They have not paid my mileage to the doctor since Feb of this year. I could have really milked my injuries but I didn't and now I feel I am being penalized for it.
On top of that, I had coverage on 3 vehicles, I sold one and they doubled the premiums on my existing 2 vehicles! They want me to pay just as much for 2 vehicles as I was paying for 3! AAA is not where you should be. If you think they are great, just wait until you have a serious injury.
My doctor told me that he knows someone that worked at an insurance company and told him that they hire people to just close out claims - they get a commission every time they do - this person made more on commissions than her regular salary! They make it hard for people to process claims by stalling-make you call over and over. Finally people give up and they count on that. It's one of their strategies to not pay claims. Multi million dollar companies don't get that way from paying out.
I work for AAA and just want to let you know that if you ever have a problem, AAA Member Relations is available to help. Contact them at MemberRelations@national.aaa.com. They'd love to hear from you!
I was involved in an accident with one of AAA's insured of whom pulled off in front of me while I was coming down a hill. Instead of yielding to oncoming traffic he waited until the last minute and turned causing me to hit his vehicle. So I called AAA to file a claim and they are refusing to take full liability for the damages. Their insured received a citation for careless driving and they still won't accept fully responsibility. They are telling me that I could have avoided the accident just so they won't have to pay me for my damages. Their customer service sucks as well. The adjuster Jennifer Staley is only trying to cover 80% of the damages and has been very rude in handling this matter in a professional manner. She searched my name and told me that I have had injury claims before and all of this and that, and how I better not try to file an injury claim. She just got really nasty with me for no reason at all. I literally felt like she was jumping down my throat. I even went as far as speaking with her supervisor and she told me that was out of character for her employee. I'm thinking wow how are you going to tell me what I know I heard come from the adjuster's mouth. I'm really upset because I am a single parent just trying to do what is right and take care of my child it's hard enough trying to make it in this world and to add insult to injury they are not accepting full responsibility for things done by their insured. Why should I have to pay for damages caused by another person especially when I was the person that ended up being hurt. I think that is just ridiculous. I am advising all the people I know not to deal with AAA because they are real jerks!!!
My daughter's Volks Passat had been sitting in my drive for three days, when she went to start her car it would not start. She came in the house and told me she thought her battery was dead. We went back out and tried to start the car again at which time I noticed smoke coming from under the hood. I had the car towed to a garage where they replaced the battery but it still would not start. Upon further diagnostic testing the mechanic found the ECM fuse blown and the fuse to the radio blown. AAA denied any liability because they stated it was routine maintenance. I understand a dead battery needs replacing at my experience, but I have never known a low or dead battery to blow fuses simply by trying to start the car. If this is the case then all cars should not try to start with low batteries. I have been involved with machanic work for most of my life and have never experienced major fuses shorting out or smoke coming from under the hood of a car because of a low or dead battery. AAA has decided that this is routine maintenance and bears no responsibility to help pay for the damages to my car, therefore I will exercise my right to do business with another insurance company. I hate to think what AAA might say if I file a claim on my homeowners insurance. Fire or storm damage might just be routine maintenance. So, I will move my three vehicles and my house insurance to another company. I wish I could say that it has been a pleasure doing business but it has not. Please do not take this personal it's just routine maintenance.
