QuoteI constantly receive car insurance company mailers that claim I can save hundreds of dollars by switching to 21st Century, Geico, Progressive, etc. For some time I took the time to call or go online to get a quote for insuring my two cars. In EVERY case, to buy equivalent coverage would cost me MORE than I was paying Travelers. The only way the premiums can be compatible is by decreasing the coverage limits (in a few cases the limits I have with Travelers weren't even available) and/or increasing the deductibles. None of the claims to get lower premiums state it will be for equivalent coverage. Heck, I can stay with Travelers, raise my deductibles and/or lower my coverage limits and realize hundreds of dollars of savings. Why switch?
